RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide from environmental consulting firms who are interested in prequalifying providing professional consulting services on bridge, road, sand/gravel pit operations, and various construction supervision services.
- The district is looking for the following environmental consulting discipline capabilities (but not limited to):
1. Regulatory applications
• Water act
• Public lands act
• Wildlife act
• Historical resources act
• Environmental protection and enhancement act
• Fisheries act
• Migratory birds convention act
• Species at risk 2. Biophysical assessments
• Short and long-term environmental monitoring
• Field surveys and programs with associated sampling methodology
• Ecological land classification (ELC)
• Environmental impact assessments (EIA)
• Reclamation and remediation plans
• GIS mapping and analysis
3. Data management and regulatory submissions
• Field data collection with data collectors (tablets, etc.)
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Quality control and assurance
• General submissions, such as:
o Wetland assessment and impact reports (WAIR)
o Environmental field reports (EFR)
o Supplemental information requests (SIR)
o Pre-disturbance assessment reports (PDAR)
o Detailed site assessments (DSA)
o Wetland assessment and impact forms (WAIF)
o Sediment and erosion control plans
o Conservation operation reclamation plan (CORP)
o Public pit license (PPL)
o Surface material lease (SML)
o Surface material license (SMC)
o State wetland rapid evaluation tool (ABWRET)
4. Aquatic and wetlands assessments
• Wetland classification, delineation, and assessment
• Watercourse and riparian classification
• Wetland monitoring programs and reports
• Water quality sampling
• Sediment and erosion control plans
• Hydrological assessments and modelling (both surface and subsurface)
5. Wildlife surveys
• Wildlife identification and surveys
• Species-at-risk surveys and monitoring
• Mitigation planning
• Habitat assessments
• Invasive species identification and management
• Wildlife scouting and sweeps
• Migratory bird impact mitigation
• Wildlife usage assessments
• fish Accommodation and salvage
6. Vegetation and soils assessments
• Plant identification and surveys, including rare plants
• Weed monitoring and management
• Revegetation monitoring plans and programs
• Invasive species identification and management
• Soil classification and surveys
• Soil sampling, sourcing and replacement
• Sand and gravel pit
7. Construction supervision
• Care of water plans
• Environmental construction operations (eco) plans
• Coordination with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
