The Vendor is required to provide grant writer to assist in identifying, applying for, and securing funding opportunities for various health department projects and initiatives.
- Provide in grant writing and management, with the objective of enhancing the Department's financial resources and program capabilities.
- Services will be aimed at both governmental and private funding sources, ensuring we maximize our potential to secure grants that support our public health goals.
- Research and identification of funding opportunities:
• Conduct comprehensive research to identify appropriate grants from federal, state, and private sources.
- Grant proposal development:
• Develop well-structured and compelling grant proposals in accordance with the guidelines provided by funding agencies.
• Ensure all proposals adhere to industry standards, including but not limited to the following elements:
1. Statement of need
2. Project description and methodology
3. Goals and objectives
4. Budget and justification
5. Evaluation plan
6. Organizational information
• Incorporate feedback from city staff and other stakeholders in proposal drafts.
- Grant application submission:
• Prepare and submit complete grant applications by the established deadlines.
• Confirm receipt of submitted applications and follow up with funding agencies as needed.
• Must be available for regular consultations and meetings as needed, either virtually.
• Provide timely responses to grant writing requests and feedback.
- Reporting:
• Provide real-time status updates detailing progress toward grant submissions and any upcoming opportunities utilizing a shareable platform (i.e., Microsoft teams, etc.).
• Document and submit all activities related to grant applications and submission
