The vendor is required to provide grant research and grant writing services for furnish all equipment, labor, materials, supplies, licensing, transportation, and other components necessary.
- Grant applications includes:
• Information systems, technology, and cybersecurity – upgrades, enhancements, education, outreach
• Transportation, to include roads, bridges, transit, its-ATMS, traffic safety, and multi-use trails
• Infrastructure development across all disciplines.
• Public safety, to include fire, emergency medical services, emergency management and disaster response
• Parks and recreation
• Preservation of sensitive and endangered lands
• Cultural and historical exhibit and facility preservation
• Environmental – water and energy conservation, pollution prevention, and control
• Storm water management and water quality
• Economic development – jobs and training
• Human social services
• Sustainability / resiliency across all disciplines
• Water and wastewater utilities
• Solid waste, recycling, and associated technologies
• Direct pay / elective pay tax credits
- Requirements:
• Understand the county departments’ operations and operational needs
• Provide technical consultation and/or resource development support services relating to research, design, development, and completion of grant applications
• Monitor private funding sources and state and federal legislation that might affect grant programs
• Search for available funding sources based on the county needs
• synchronize proposal development
• Ensure submittal of grant proposals by deadline
• Help build effective collaborations as needed among businesses, public and private sources
• Upon request, offer in-service training on grant development and management
• Monitor state, federal, corporate, foundation, nonprofit and local funding sources and research and identify grant opportunities to the appropriate county department that support and enhance the goals and objectives of the county.
• Submit grant opportunities to county as it finds potential grants that would appear to benefit the county; the county will be the sole decision-maker regarding whether a grant application should be pursued and submitted.
• AID with completing grant applications for any grant opportunity that the county or others have found.
• Provide expertise relating to the issues of the potential grant and assist the county department in completing the application process.
• Provide comprehensive grant writing services, to include technical aspects, for submission of a grant application to apply for a specific grant.
• Coordinate information gathering and creation of all graphics including but not limited to GIS, zoning, and site maps.
• Develop benefits cost analysis (BCA) as needed as part of the grant application process.
• Provide status reports for all ongoing grant applications that were started, in process, or have been completed; reports may also be required on the status of research and projects for the county.
