The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive audit of the city’s health and safety management system across city departments.
- The audit is intended to validate the current state of programs within the corporation and meet the requirements for continuation of the certificate of recognition (COR) from the province.
- The audit will be conducted using an external lead evaluator and their auditors that are certified through association.
- The audit will target selected departments, as determined by the supplier in cooperation with the city’s health and safety team.
- The supplier will comprehensively audit the city’s corporate health and safety management system (HSMS) across these selected departments.
- The audit will include the following phases:
• Pre-audit activities (meetings and coordination with city health and safety team)
• Documentation review (review of HSMS conducted remotely via access to online portal)
• Employee interviews conducted online through secure video conferencing
• Site visits and on-site observations (conducted in person in accordance with audit requirements)
• Post-audit activities (including presentation to city senior administration and report submission to association).
