The vendor is required to provide verbatim reporting and related services at all locations designated by the department and shall deliver reasonable quality work products when due at the department.
- The transcript shall be an accurate verbatim record of the proceeding.
- Provide five business days-notice of its needs for all hearing reporter services.
- Provide electronic confirmation promptly, within 48-hours.
- The services required and the skills of individual reporters available to the contractor.
- Recording may be made by a reporter/monitor using four-track electronic recording equipment, an equivalent, or by a reporter using a keyboard-operated steno-typing device.
- Backup sound recording equipment that effectively picks up all speaking at an event shall be operating at all times while proceedings are being reported.
- Stenographic reporters shall be at the scheduled event a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled start time and ready to start stenographic reporting at the time stated in the notice for the event.
- Reporters/monitors using electronic recording equipment shall arrive early enough prior to an event so that equipment may be set up and reporting/monitoring can commence at the appointed starting time.
- Court reporters shall be professionally dressed and otherwise conduct themselves appropriately in respect of the formal, official nature of all proceedings.
- Court reporters should anticipate that various proceedings being transcribed may be webcast or otherwise subject to video recording such that the appearance and conduct of the court reporter will be public and reflect on the department, commission and siting board and the integrity of and public confidence in their proceedings.
- A transcript that fails to include the pre-filed testimony in proper form or otherwise omits or repeats sections of testimony, such that it is not correctly paginated, shall not be considered to be completed and delivered in accordance with the contract until such errors are corrected.
