The vendor is required to provide that professional development services to enhance its Honors program
-work includes comprehensive training for all teachers and specialized training for Honors teachers.
-General characteristics of intellectually gifted and academically talented students shall be incorporated throughout training sessions as foundational knowledge
-Project includes on-site visits for classroom observations, curriculum reviews, and consultations
-Provide real-time coaching and curriculum development support during classroom walk-throughs. Activities include:
1.Observations of instructional practices.
2.Feedback on curriculum alignment with best practices.
3.Pull-out sessions for content-specific curriculum development.
-Integrating into the Honors program, we aim to equip our students with the skills to manage
Their emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
-Aim to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
-Contractor provide professional development for approximately 80 staff members focused on:
•Differentiation strategies:
oTailored approaches to content, process, product, and learning environment differentiation.
•Engaging lessons:
oMethods to create motivating and impactful lessons for honors students.
•Supporting diverse learners:
oStrategies for addressing diverse learning needs within a heterogeneous classroom.
-Contractor shall collaborate with wis to review and enhance the existing honors program. deliverables include:
•A comprehensive review of goals, curriculum, and instructional practices.
•An actionable recommendation based on best practices in gifted education.
