The vendor is required to provide a foundational training about human services operations and entry-level career opportunities which will be offered to county human services identified individuals that are suited for entry-level employment roles in human services organizations on behalf of human services economic resilience division.
- Provide a short term (e.g. six (6) weeks or less), paid training program regarding relevant subjects related to human services roles to approximately 30 county human services identified individuals through at least two training cohorts (i.e. approx. 15 participants per cohort).
- These individuals will leave this training with the knowledge and skills to begin an entry level role in human services.
- This program can be conducted in person, virtually or in a hybrid format so long as training objectives and learning goals are met.
- Use of county human services facilities for in person programming can be requested but may not be available.
- Provide subsidized wages to individuals who attend this training equal to state minimum wage per hour of training attendance.
- Ensure the resources needed for participants to engage in the program are provided to participants (e.g. computer, internet service, handouts, etc.).
- This can include coordination with county human services to provide resources through supportive payments to county human services customers and coordination with other available programs who offer needed resources.
- Collaborate with county human services to create and/or update a curriculum that will allow customers to leave the program with the knowledge and skills to begin entry-level positions within human services organizations.
- Provide group mentorship sessions that include information regarding specific roles and responsibilities and collaborate with county human services to incorporate current human services workers/topics within these sessions.
- Coordinate case management, information regarding skills gained by participants, and attendance tracking with county human services referring programs by the 5th of every month, as needed, using the attached template.
