The Vendor is required to provide for information technology (IT) consultants to provide consistent, and comprehensive IT support services and project consulting, as well as ad hoc project planning and execution.
- The district’s entire IT staffing (which provides technician support, network administration, system administration, applications maintenance, data administration, and specific project support) has always been in-house staffing.
- IT Inventory and Services
• Consultants should have the knowledge and ability to install, configure, upgrade, repair, patch, and/or integrate district networked equipment, software, and tools.
• All staff users are in a Microsoft windows environment and utilize multiple applications vital to ongoing operations.
• Most applications are server-based with client access via the network.
• From time to time, various schools or departments within the district consider additional and/or alternative software/platform products.
• If approved for implementation, the selected consultant must be available to assist the vendor in the implementation or be able to successfully install and migrate any and all data where and if necessary.

1. Systems Infrastructure
• Physical, virtual servers, hypervisor, and containerization technologies
• Configuration and management for endpoint devices (windows, chrome books, apple)
• Management of server software, operating systems, and applications
• Work with first party vendors to maintain systems and platforms
• Domain administration
• Backup, restore and replication services
• Scripting and automation support (Ansible, PowerShell, and bash)
2. Network administration management
• Network access
• Remote and mobile access
• Internet, intranet, and Wi-Fi support
• Endpoint protection and configuration
• Cybersecurity protection and security management to prevent cyber-attacks.
• Firewall administration
3. Tier iii support
• Provide tech support for network devices and endpoint devices when escalated by network administrators.
• Provide support and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
4. Consultant will evaluate it needs on a regular basis, and provide alternative cost-effective and cost saving recommendations, with pros and cons, on whether the district should maintain the existing infrastructure and/or software platforms or switch to alternative configurations.
• If an alternative is recommended:
• Provide a detail of the alternative and benefit to the district.
• Provide your experience working with the alternative configuration or recommend a subject matter expert (SME).
• Provide an estimated total cost of implementation list all hardware, software, and labor costs and cost savings, if any.

5. Evaluate, maintain, repair, and/or recommend replacement of equipment and software as identified.
6. Manage the district’s software licensing and administer hardware warranties.
7. Work with other it consultants/vendors to resolve issues with software and hardware for the implementation of district’s IT projects.
8. Communicate with a line of business application providers to facilitate technical support.
9. Attend meetings when requested by district staff.
10. Participate in the district’s budget process, when requested.
11. Maintain and update the district’s IT inventory database and track service requests and historical reports that can be accessed by authorized staff.
- Must be able to provide onsite IT services, as required, during normal business hours, which are 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
