The vendor is required to provide internet services for demonstrate sufficient knowledge, skills and capabilities to install, operate and maintain fiber optic, high-speed internet services including a dedicated 1.0 GB (up/down) connection to the city facilities listed above by the dates listed above.
• Existing conditions assessment
o Review the existing operational conditions of each facility to determine any equipment needed for full implementation of fiber optic, high-speed internet services to the various buildings.
o Review existing internet connection facilities at each building to determine if upgrades to the existing and additional improvements are needed, such as trenching for new fiber optic installation.
• Service level agreement (SLA) requirements - respondents must provide a service level agreement (sla) that outlines, at a minimum:
o Uptime guarantees (e.g., 99.99% monthly uptime).
o Mean time to repair (MTTR) for outages.
o Guaranteed response time for service disruptions, including time to escalation.
o Proactive monitoring availability and thresholds.
o Support hours and emergency support escalation procedures.
o Credit or penalty provisions for SLA violations.
• A description of available failover or secondary redundant connection options, including any wireless backup solutions.
• An outline of automatic failover capabilities and recovery time objectives.
• Identification of whether circuits will be delivered via diverse paths and different central offices or backbones.
• Any additional redundancy features available for high-availability design, especially at city hall and public safety locations.
