The Vendor is required to provide media/video production and support services: producer, director, writer, on-camera talent, production crew, graphic designer, makeup artist and hairstylist, television engineer, and livestream producer.
- Staff will have access to channel 35’s studio systems, applications, music library, and other resources to create content when their work requires it.
- Content may exist on multiple platforms including television, social media, and the web.
- Producer:
• The producer oversees all aspects of content production.
• The producer is responsible for the pre-production, production, post production, and delivery of content.
• Tasks include, but are not limited to, content ideation and development, liaising with city departments and elected officials, researching, overseeing scripts, preparing interview questions, scheduling and conducting interviews, planning field and/or studio shoots, location logistics, budgets, and editorial from pre-production through postproduction.
- Director:
• The director oversees the activities involved in creating video and/or digital content.
• The director is responsible for the creative decisions and style of a program.
• The director directs on-camera talent, the production crew, and the narrative, while working closely with the producer from preproduction to production and into post-production to ensure the visual concept is achieved.
• The director may be called upon to direct single camera or multi-camera productions.
- Writer
• The writer is tasked with concept writing and creative ideation.
• Depending on the project, the writer will be asked to work on a variety of different formats and genres, including television scripts, short-form and long-form content, documentary, internal and external corporate communications, public relations, social media captions, descriptions, entertainment, news and more.
- On-camera talent
• The on-camera talent shall perform work as needed as a host, interviewer, anchor, performer, reporter, or voice-over actor.
• The on-camera talent may also be responsible for tasks such as preparing interview questions, scheduling interviews, conducting on camera interviews, and conducting research.
- Editor
• The editor is responsible for logging/digitizing and organizing footage and editing rough cuts and final cuts, which may also include graphics, music, exports, and final deliverables.
- Graphic designer
• The graphic designer is responsible for providing broadcast, print, social media graphic design work.
• They may be asked to provide graphic support during field and/or studio productions.
- Digital media content creator
• The digital media content creator will be able to pitch social first story and create, shoot, and edit short form content as needed for multiple social media and digital platforms.
• The digital media content creator will produce and create socially captivating and fully finished content that resonates with the community, is on brand, and on topic with city events and social guidelines.
- Production crew
• Director of photography
• Lighting director
• Camera operator (studio, field, or robotic)
• Production coordinator
• Field and studio crew, including audio mixing, lighting, gripping, gaffing, teleprompting character generator operations, stage managing, video control, master control, tape operations, assistant editors, and production assistants.
- Personnel may be required to work onsite, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity.
