RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide preschool social and emotional learning classroom training and materials services, which include implementing a successful program and training our preschool teachers during the summer of 2025.
- The district is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive SEL classroom training for teachers and staff members.
- The training program must align with the collaborative for academic, social, and emotional learning's (CASEL) framework for social-emotional learning (SEL).
- The vendor must demonstrate familiarity with CASEL's five core competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
- The training must align with the VDOE early learning and development standards for preschool.
- The program should include a variety of instructional methods, such as presentations, group discussions, role-plays, and case studies.
- The training materials provided by the vendor should be evidence-based and grounded in research.
- Trainers should have expertise in SEL and be able to facilitate meaningful discussions and activities that promote understanding and skill development.
- The training program should be tailored to meet the developmental needs of our preschool cpi program and include specific strategies and techniques for implementing SEL in preschool and elementary school settings.
- The vendor should provide pre-training and post-training assessments to measure participants' knowledge and skills growth.
- The assessments should be designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the training and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- These resources can include online platforms, video tutorials, printed materials, and access to additional training modules.
- The program should address classroom culture and climate to ensure that sel practices are applicable and relevant to the student population.
- Provide resources for parental information and family engagement.
- Requirements
• Provide a detailed training plan, including the number and duration of training sessions, proposed dates, and locations.
• The training sessions should accommodate both large and small groups of participants.
• The vendor should offer flexibility in scheduling the training sessions, taking into consideration the availability of educators and staff members.
• They should be able to provide training during non-work hours to minimize disruption to daily operations.
• The training program should be scalable to accommodate the district's size.
• Provide training to a large number of educators across multiple school sites.
• The vendor should supply all necessary training materials, including handouts, presentations, and any other required resources.
• These materials should be accessible in both digital and print formats.
• Provide a certificate of completion for each participant who successfully completes the training program.
• The ability to provide follow-up professional development if staff or administrators are unable to attend a session.
• The department of technology to determine the compatibility of their electronic programming with the current district technology infrastructure.
