The vendor is required to provide from consulting agencies with extensive knowledge in general county public health processes and procedures.
- Initial assessment and discovery
• The consultant will complete an initial assessment and discovery phase.
• This phase will be for evaluating existing systems, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements.
- The consultant will develop a comprehensive public health improvement plan (CPHIP):
• Process improvement and coordination: Streamlining workflows, standardizing procedures for emergency preparedness, and strengthening coordination among public health teams and external partners.
• Policy and compliance enhancement: Evaluating and updating public health policies, improving accreditation readiness, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Emergency preparedness and response: Developing strategies for outbreak management, refining emergency inventory tracking, and conducting county- wide preparedness exercises.
• Community engagement and outreach: Enhancing communication strategies with the public, managing community contact lists, and improving intake processes for public complaints and notices.
• Technology and data modernization: Enhancing systems for tracking and reporting public health incidents, integrating new technologies for disease surveillance, and improving communication with healthcare providers.
- The CPHIP can include a variety of solutions including:
• planning and roadmaps: Development of phased implementation plans for long- term improvements.
• Infrastructure design and implementation: Designing and deploying new technologies, integrating systems, and enhancing data management capabilities.
• Migration and modernization: Transitioning outdated processes and systems to modern platforms with improved functionality.
• Testing and validation: Ensuring that proposed solutions meet operational needs and function effectively within the public health framework.
