The vendor is required to provide comprehensive proactive regulatory intelligence solution and/or software that will allow for efficient tracking of new and proposed regulatory changes that impact hospital operations.
- Required:
• Federal and state laws, regulations, rules, proposed rules, proposed legislation, etc.
a. Preferred:
• Medicare administrative contractor (MAC) requirements
• Regulatory guidance (e.g., department of justice evaluation of effective compliance programs, office of inspector general-general compliance program guidance, etc.)
• Guidance and requirements from accreditation entities. (e.g., joint commission, etc.)
• Local regulations (i.e., county, city, etc.)
- The following key use cases:
• Proactive ongoing real-time regulatory change tracking.
• Regulatory risk and impact assessment.
• Policy and implementation management
- The following key features:
• Curation of regulatory content relevant to parkland’s business and clinical operations and content aggregation
• Such content should be created and/or verified by experts certified in health care compliance and/or a legal firm specializing in health and hospital law
• Availability of expert assistance is preferred.
• Ability to track relevant regulations throughout various stages such as proposed phase, comment periods, final codification, implementation phase, effective date, and enforcement date.
• Ability to craft custom reports.
• “Dashboard-style” reporting functionality is preferred.
