The vendor is required to provide school security software and technology to include visitor management software, reunification software and silent panic alert technology in accordance with the instructions, specifications, terms, and conditions, contained in this solicitation.
1. Visitor management software
• Allow configurable personas and workflows for visitors, students, contractors, staff, and volunteers.
• Offer compatibility with ChromeOS, mac and pc desktop computers, as well as iPAD and android tablets.
• Support automatic visitor registration by scanning both the front and back of acceptable identification, including state driver’s licenses, military ids, passports, etc.
• Digitally verify that the visitor matches the individual on the presented id document.
• Enhance security by instantly screening visitors’ government-issued id cards against the sex offender registries within all 50 states and an unlimited number of custom databases.
• Trigger an immediate system alert to campus staff and the student resource officer (SRO) upon verification of known offender.
• Allow for bulk badge pre-printing for large events. 8. provide standard and customizable reports and analytics for monitoring visitor activity.
2. Reunification software
• Enable real-time accountability for students and faculty, including status options such as accounted for, absent, missing, and injured, with customizable status options.
• Allow tracking of student and faculty locations in real time.
• Provide a searchable system to locate individual students or faculty by name. prefer system that offers searchability by student guardian name(s).
• Offer a comprehensive reunification workflow, including defined roles and actions for checkers and unifiers.
• Workflow must follow standard reunification method (SRM) as defined by the “i love u guys” foundation.
• Notify designated staff when both a student and their guardian are available for reunification.
• Capture and store guardian electronic signatures during the reunification process.
3. Silent panic alert technology
• Provide a wearable badge that includes a button, speaker, light, and battery for efficient emergency activation.
• Support localized and campus-wide emergency alerts, triggering a precise, configurable response based on district safety protocols.
• Be configurable to align with district safety policies, distinguishing between localized incidents and campus-wide emergencies.
• Be officially licensed by the “i love u guys” foundation to incorporate the standard response protocol (SRP), including terminology and iconography.
• Provide both hardware (badges) and software (alerting, drilling, accountability, and reunification) within a single, easy-to-manage platform.
• Offer an open API for multi-layered alerting and integration with existing school safety infrastructure (sirens, intercoms, door locks, desktop alerts, digital signage, strobe lights).
• Utilize a long range (LORAWAN) network optimized for badge alerting to ensure reliable performance.
• Include real-time health monitoring for badge alerting equipment with configurable notifications for administrators.
• Provide direct connectivity to public safety answering points (PSAPS) for real-time 911 emergency communication.
