RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide to implement a software solution that will assist in identifying unregistered short-term rentals that require a license software will aid in compliance efforts, ensuring all short-term rental properties adhere to local rental housing regulations and zoning laws under chapters 105 and 97.
- The city is committed to maintaining the integrity of residential neighborhoods while supporting responsible short-term rental practices.
- This increase in activity necessitates effective discovery, monitoring, and regulatory oversight.
- The software solution must:
• Reliably and accurately identify unregistered short-term rental properties within agency.
• Streamline the reporting, notification for non-compliance, and regulatory compliance process for the city’s rental housing services.
• Generate a listing of accurate rental data, updated regularly, to provide easy access to information regarding registered and unregistered properties, property type, type of rental, and property owner.
• Complete property searches by monitoring relevant short-term rental websites while also consolidating duplicate listings across multiple sites.
• Provide addresses and parcel numbers of rental properties.
• Send notifications, both physical and digital (when possible), to non-compliant short-term rentals regarding their status.
• Provide booking data for short-term rental properties, including the number of nights rented per year and the number of bookings per year.
• Consolidate the data across into the software while looking across multiple short-term rental services.
• Integrate with agency licensing system, ownership database, and geospatial information system to cross-reference property compliance status.
• The integration should allow for frequent ingestion of data, ensuring the data is up to date and status is automatically updated as compliance changes.
• Allow for comprehensive reporting on registered and unregistered properties, property type, type of rental, and property owner.
• Reporting should be in a variety of formats, including geospatial, tabular, and charts.
• We must be able to report over various time periods to ensure that compliance enforcement measures are working effectively.
• leverage an API or data pull of the chosen software solution to integrate with our business intelligence platform, allowing extensive reporting, dash boarding, and public transparency.
