RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide special education complaints investigators services for investigating alleged violations of special education law, which may include onsite visits and issuing a written report containing their findings of fact.
- Requirements:
• Communicate within reasonable response time with the agency
• Produce invoices consistently, in consultation with the agency
• Disclose potential conflicts of interest
• Review of documents pertaining to a complaint.
• Preparation as required such as organizing information, scheduling on-site visits/interviews with parents and school district.
• Fact-finding and evidence gathering pertaining to complaint information and allegations.
• Generate a written report based on allegations including findings of fact and conclusions as they relate to the allegations in the complaint.
• Provide the special education complaints coordinator with reports that detail the allegations, findings of fact, and recommendations to the commissioner of education.
• Prepare monthly reports to be submitted in conjunction with each monthly invoice; each report will itemize the preparation, actions, meeting time, travel time and other activities related to a complaint investigation assigned.
• Participate in trainings as provided by the special education complaints coordinator
• Participate in quarterly team meetings provided by the special education complaints coordinator.
