The vendor is required to provide staffing services for IEP mandated orientation and mobility (O & M) services.
- The vendor must employ related service providers who are able to provide orientation and mobility services (O & M) for existing and new students as per individualized education plan (IEP) and 504 documents throughout the 10-month school year and extended school year.
- Service requirements:
a. Data import and export requirements
• O & M providers are required to collect data and monitor progress based on IEP schedule, keep attendance and provide to the district no less than once a year or upon demand as needed, complete all paperwork associated with the committee on special education (CSE) process including but not limited to the IEP, the student intervention record (SIR) packet, progress monitoring and all progress summaries.
• Vendor will be responsible for completing IEP’S per part 200 regulations using frontline (formerly known as IEP direct).
b. Service level requirements
• There are currently 20 students receiving O & M services.
• Locations include 15 schools that are buffalo public schools, charter schools, and non-public schools.
• O & M teachers will be required to travel between sites to provide services.
• The vendor must also be able to provide IEP mandated vision rehab therapy as needed by the district.
c. Training, support, and implementation requirements
• The vendor is responsible for ensuring all staff are aware of the new regulations pertaining to the field of orientation and mobility services and part 200 regulations from department.
