RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide to study existing stormwater systems and to deliver a preliminary engineering report with recommended potential improvements in the city.
- Building roof drain assessments and evaluation of properties for utilization of agency infiltration practices
a. Roof drain assessment
• Assessment of current building drainage conditions and sewer connections
• Calculating existing stormwater discharge during various rainfall events
• Calculating impact of each building’s stormwater discharge
• Identify connection point and diameter of existing sewer
• Identify and recommend corrective action for any storm to sanitary connections
b. Agency infiltration practices
• Each property’s’ existing infiltration capacity
• Potential agency chapters 5 and 6 infiltration practices for each property
• Potential impact of installing infiltration practices on stormwater discharge from each building
• Overall impact of proposed infiltration practices on flow of the existing 3’ brick storm sewer or other connection point
- Evaluate the use of pervious pavements and agency infiltration systems under a planned parking lot at 305 main street
a. Proposed runoff assessment
• Estimation of the existing stormwater runoff at 305 main street and its impact on the 3’ brick storm sewer. 
• Estimation of the runoff generated by the proposed parking area at 305 main street, and its impact on the 3’ brick storm sewer 
• A conceptual design utilizing pervious pavement, tree boxes, and other approved methods shown in the agency
• The impact of proposed conceptual designs on stormwater runoff at 305 main street and its impact on the 3’ storm sewer.
