The Vendor is required to provide student insurance services include:
• Accidental injury – at school:  insurance should provide for accidental injuries occurring while at school, when school is in session and while participating in school sponsored and supervised activities.  
• Coverage shall also include all sponsored sports (except interscholastic high school tackle football) as well as direct and uninterrupted travel to and from the insured’s residence and scheduled classes and travel to and from other school sponsored activities while as a member of a group in a vehicle furnished and operated by the school, or district contracted transportation vendor.
• Accidental injury – 24 hour coverage:  provides coverage for accidental injuries occurring around-the-clock, at home, at school, on weekends and during the summer.  
• Coverage shall include all organized youth sports activities (except interscholastic high school tackle football).
• Health plan coverage:  provides benefits for injury and sickness which occur anytime, worldwide, excluding interscholastic athletics.  
• The health plan shall be available for all district students ages 13 to 21 as indicated above.
• Dental coverage:  provides dental coverage for accidental dental injuries to sound, natural teeth.
• Interscholastic tackle football coverage:  provides coverage for accidental injuries while participating in the actual play or practice of regularly scheduled high school football.  
• Coverage shall be effective from the first day of pre-school practice through the regularly scheduled football season including play-off games as defined by the state interscholastic governing body.
• School-to-work coverage:  provides coverage for students (paid and non-paid) for injuries which occur while at an approved worksite and under direct supervision, and while traveling between school and the worksite and the between the worksite and home.
• Short-term 24- hour coverage:  provides coverage for students when on an overnight field trip or where students may not be directly supervised (such as camping, ski trips, amusement parks, etc.).
• Blanket school band/chorus coverage:  provide coverage for accidental injuries occurring while participating in the school sponsored and supervised band.   
• The district has an estimated 2800 students that participate in band/chorus.
• Blanket J.R.O.T.C. program coverage:  provides coverage for accidental injuries occurring while participating in a school sponsored and supervised J.R.O.T.C. program.
• The district has an estimated 1750 students that participate in J.R.O.T.C.
• Summer time athletic conditioning insurance coverage:  provides coverage for all student athletes participating in a summer conditioning program, including football.
• Catastrophic injury coverage:  provides coverage on all school athletic activities.
• Blanket field trip coverage:  provides coverage for all district students on all field trips throughout the year including transportation to and from athletic competitions.
• The district has an estimated 13,183 students.
• International travel:  provides accident and sickness insurance for participants in independently organized international high school trips and exchange programs.
• The coverage may be used by both outbound American students as well as inbound international students.
• The district itself will not be organizing international travel.
