RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide student supplementary transportation services for the students enrolled at district.
- Student to be transported shall be provided a seat and the manufacturer’s rated capacity for any vehicle used shall constitute the maximum number to be transported on such vehicle.
- A minimum of four cameras will be required to be installed on each bus. One camera will focus on the driver and the entrance door, one shall be a forward-facing dash camera, and the remaining (2) two cameras will focus on the students.
- keep all cameras in working order and when requested provide the school with video within 24 hours of a request by the school.
- provide the school with direct access to the video system.
- Routing and Implementation Plans:
• The contractor’s drivers shall not deviate from the approved scheduled runs without prior approval from district administration; the contractor must be able to operate special needs routes.
• Routes may be updated monthly to best meet the needs of parents and students and to continuously improve operations; student travel time to and from school cannot exceed 3 hours for am routes and 3 hours for pm routes.
• Enrollment changes, ADA requirement adjustments, school schedule modifications, school district employee contract changes, traffic and construction demands, pandemics etc.
- Early Release/Emergency Cancellation of Transportation:
• Follow school’s procedures for emergency cancellation of transportation in those cases where weather conditions or other situations may preclude the movement of buses.
• The district will endeavor to notify contractor one (1) hour before dispatch time provided conditions allow; from time to time it may be necessary to dismiss school/s early due to various conditions out of the control of school and contractor shall endeavor to fulfill these emergency situations as soon as possible.
- Management and Support Personnel
• Acknowledge that the work to be performed under these contract will be done in schools and around children; advise all employees to use care, respect and discretion when working in these surroundings.
• Responsible for hiring and training the necessary staff to ensure consistent, reliable and high-quality transportation services.
• All drivers shall have proper licenses, permits and certificates as required by applicable statutory or administrative codes.
