The Vendor is required to provide a temperature monitoring system for its ovens, incubators, refrigerators and freezers.
- Monitoring and regulating the temperatures of these devices is essential since they play important roles in the lab’s workflow.
- Provide and install the hardware components (transmitters, probes and wireless repeaters) and setup the cloud-based continuous monitoring system.
- The continuous monitoring system include cloud software, wireless access points, sensor transmitters, and temperature probes.
- The equipment to be monitored include two (2) rooms, six (6) water baths, seven (7) incubators, ten (10) ovens, thirteen (13) freezers and twenty-six (26) refrigerators.
- Provide licenses for all software required for the operation of the hardware.
- The license subscription will be renewed annually through a purchase order.
- Hardware Specifications:
• Modular, scalable wireless transmitters with resistance temperature detector (RTD) probes to monitor the temperature of devices.
• The transmitters should be able to store data locally for at minimum twenty-four (24) hours (ideally for forty-eight (48) hours), and in case of a loss of network connectivity, backfill to the server automatically when the network connection is restored.
• The transmitters should be powered by readily available and replaceable batteries (AA, AAA, and Liion).
• The transmitters should have reset switch on each box.
• The probes should be capable of real-time data sampling with adjustable frequency and transmit intervals ranging from at least 5 to 15 minutes.
• The probes should have an accuracy of ±0.5℃ with a precision of ±0.1℃ or better.
• The probes should support the ability to put two independent probes on a single piece of equipment or to monitor two (2) adjacent pieces of equipment.
• Wireless repeaters for each floor in the Lab with monitored devices.
• All probes, transmitters and wireless repeaters must have a minimum twelve (12)-month warranty that covers the replacement of defective components.
- Software Specifications:
• A cloud-based continuous monitoring system of environmental conditions in laboratories that provides users with the ability to configure and manage sensors that measure temperature.
• The continuous monitoring system should be accessible via an easy-to-use web-based application which allows access from any networked personal computer, tablet or smartphone.
• The continuous monitoring system should support real-time sensor data viewing and report generation. It must allow for the creation and storage of templates for standardized reports and graphical summaries, with the ability to automatically generate and email certain reports.
• The continuous monitoring system should include alarm functionality, allowing an alarm threshold to be set individually for each probe. When a probe detects a specified temperature threshold, the system should be able to trigger an alarm and notify users via phone call, email, or text message.
• The wireless transmitters with RTD probes and wireless repeaters should be organizable into groups to facilitate monitoring by lab teams responsible for their devices.
• The system should support features such as: user access controls (individually assignable roles and permissions); corrective action handling; and digital signatures to comply cGMP/GMP processes.
• The continuous monitoring system should support the ability to add, delete, & modify transmitter boxes and probe settings easily.
• The continuous monitoring system should allow export of temperature and time data to flat text files (tab or comma-delimited files) that can be imported into a spreadsheet.
