The vendor is required to provide third-party administrator (TPA) specializing in claims administration services to support the county’s self-insured workers compensation and liability programs.
- Liability coverages include all aspects of employer’s liability, general liability, auto liability, law enforcement liability, and professional liability.
- Provides a wide range of services including but not limited to sheriff, detention center, emergency services, emergency management, planning, parks and recreation, landfill, libraries, election services, and administrative services.
- The ability, capacity, skill, and financial resources to provide the service required.
- The ability of the TPA to provide the service promptly or within the time specified, without delay or interference.
- The character, integrity, reputation, judgement, experience, and efficiency of the TPA.
- The quality of performance of previous services evaluated from references provided.
- There is an assigned adjuster for the county, there must be at least one back-up adjuster to handle all required duties when the assigned adjuster is out of the office.
- Up-to-date contact information including e-mail address(ES), direct dial and mobile phone (if applicable) numbers for any adjuster or back-up adjuster assigned to handle county cases must be provided.
- TPA will provide risk manager with unlimited real time access to claims information and reports via a comprehensive, secure internet website.
- TPA must be able to provide basket aggregate reports which track the annual aggregate loss fund.
- The unique structure of the county’s liability program, the TPA must also be able to track multi-line claims and apply the correct self-insured retention for multi-line claims.
