The vendor is required to provide transportation for department patients and clients.
• Increase access to care and prescriptions by providing transportation services to the state department of health’s patients throughout the state to appointments at county health departments and pharmacies for prescription pick-ups of medication prescribed by the doctor as a result of the appointment.
• Provide a list and/or map of cities and/or counties of coverage area for the state.
• Dispatch the driver’s information to the patient once the ride is confirmed including driver name, color and make of vehicle, and license plate number.
• Provide reminders to the patient of scheduled ride(s).
• Reminders will be provided when a ride is scheduled initially, 24 hours prior to a ride, and 30 minutes prior to dispatch.
• Provide department and the patient with contact information for the patient to schedule a return pickup if necessary.
• Partner with department to bring awareness to the program and the services provided.
• Provide department with access to the contractor’s dashboard to retrieve, at a minimum, the following for reporting purposes:
o Monthly rides that will include city, county, type of appointment, and location name
o Number of rides, date of ride, trip distance and trip duration, and monthly reimbursable invoice
o Monthly reimbursable invoice for transportation services only.
• Provide services that allow companies/businesses to request specific rides for clients, creating a seamless experience.
• Provide pertinent information for fiscal and programmatic grants management, reporting purposes, and impact outcomes while addressing any barriers or expansion efforts.
• Have an act-compliant solution for healthcare organizations to arrange rides on behalf of others
• Platform must have a navigation page which displays rides and status of prior, current, and future trips.
• The vendor must provide the capability to cancel trips at any time if needed.
• The vendor must provide the capability to facilitate pickup rides for riders who have landline numbers, no access to cellphones, or have difficulty reading text messages.
• The platform should be able to call riders to provide information about their trip.
• The proposed system will leave a voicemail if a rider doesn't answer and will play in the language selected when coordinating the ride.
