The Vendor is required to provide vehicle wraps and installation services on vehicles in our fleet; proposals will include the type of materials used to produce quality vehicle wraps that will withstand regular vehicle operation and exposure to both the triple-digit heat of summer and sub-freezing winter temperatures.
- Design/Print Services:
- The Contractor shall perform the following work:
• Using provided artwork from agency, the contractor will produce/print vehicle wraps to accommodate specifications of the vehicles dedicated to wrap.
• The contractor will be responsible for measuring vehicles and checking artwork scale to the scale of the vehicle based on actual measurements of the vehicle being wrapped.
• The contractor will be responsible to verify the vehicle measurements are accurate prior to production of the wrap (e.g. the contractor shall measure the vehicle for proper fit for the wrap and make any adjustments needed to the artwork to have it properly fit the vehicle. the contractor shall consult with the agency marketing department if any adjustments/changes are needed prior to production to get the agency marketing departments written approval on such changes).
• The contractor must provide a digital proof to agency marketing department prior to production of any order so that agency can verify and approve proof; the contractor must receive written approval from agency marketing department on the proof sample; if the ordered wraps received deviates from the approved proof sample, then agency reserves the right to reject the wrap order and require the contractor, at the contractor’s expense, to replace the wraps.
• The contractor shall provide vehicle vinyl wraps with the substrate material of 3m vinyl with laminate or an approved equal and installed according to or exceeding manufacturers.
• Any material extended over the windows must be transparent from the inside, allowing drivers and passengers to see out.
• Prior to proceeding with the initial wrap installation, the contractor shall meet or discuss with the agency marketing representative to review the vehicle to be wrapped and received any guidance instruction on the wrap layout.
- Installation Services:
•The contractor will be responsible for the placement and installation of vinyl materials on designated agency vehicles.
•the contractor must be able to perform a high complexity level of hands-on transit vehicle wrap installation that includes but is not limited to:
• Flat substrates
• Curves
• Corrugations
• Rivets
• Seams
• Perforated window film
•The contractor shall be responsible for cutting out and trimming the wraps as appropriate for the various vehicles features (such as cutting out windows and door entry areas, trimming around light fixtures, around door handles, wheelchair access latches, emblems, etc.)
•The contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of any waste material generated during the installation process in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and laws.
•Agency shall ensure that the vehicles have been properly cleaned prior to releasing them to the contractor for wrap installation.
•If needed, the contractor shall remove any decals and advertisements on the vehicles prior to placing new vinyl material on the vehicle.
•The contractor is responsible for acquiring and replacing safety and regulatory decals on agency vehicles removed during the installation or removal process; agency will provide contractor with necessary decals.
•If the contractor ruins the vehicle wrap during installation services, the contractor shall be responsible for the expense in replacing the vehicle wrap and shall not charge additional fees.
