The vendor is required to provide perform water management consultant services to ensure that the facility maintains and operates its water systems in an effective, efficient, and safe manner in accordance with the requirements of institute, society, centers for medicare and Medicaid services (CMS), and department.
- Perform an annual review and assessment of the facility’s potable water system, complete an update of the then-current department environmental assessment of water systems in healthcare settings (form doh-5222) and the then-current water management plan (“WMP”) (which includes the legionella bacteria management plan for potable water, the sampling management plan, and the cooling tower maintenance program and plan) within thirty (30) calendar days of the anniversary date of the last performance of this service;
- Facilitate in-person water management committee (“WMC”) meetings providing recommendations to the WMC to ensure that the facility meets or exceeds the requirements of institute, centers, CMS, and department while updating the WMP documentation after each WMC meeting as required.
- Provide third-party verification and validation services for chlorine and public health (PH) and water temperature readings throughout the distribution system taken by facility staff once per quarter on the date and time of the WSC meeting and following shock chlorination and any short-term remediation services provided by facility contractors.
- Provide documentation of third-party verification and validation services for chlorine and PH and water temperature readings throughout the distribution system taken by facility staff once per quarter on the date and time of the WSC meeting and following shock chlorination and any short-term remediation services provided by facility contractors within (30) thirty calendar days of the performance of the third-party verification services at no additional cost to the county.
