The Vendor is required to provide employment background screening services for human resources, public safety and for investigative informational purposes on an as needed basis.
- Provide employment background screening services for cloud software solutions for applicants, current employees, candidates under promotion, temporary, contractors, and volunteers.
- Provide a secure record management system which stores background records for a minimum of five (5) years before archive.
- Provide a cloud-based in-depth background screening solution to include criminal history, national sex offender, credit verification of social security number, education/certifications, and verification of applicable licenses.
- Provide a secure cloud-based solution for applicants to complete and submit personal identifiable information.
- The ability to provide the following:
• Welcome Message/ Purpose of this background screening
• Electronic Signature
• Authorization for the Release of Information notice
• Disclosure Forms
• Instructions for Completing Forms
• 24/7 Customer Service availability (email or phone support) for internal and external users
• Explanation Area for questions
• Upload and Download capability.
- Background Screening Package:
• The Contractor shall obtain identifying information such as name, date of birth, place of birth, Social Security number, other names used and the period of time the name was used, physical description, contact information, passport information, and citizenship.
- Obtain all the places where the applicant lived beginning with the present residence and working back seven (7) years.
- Obtain where the person earned his/her high school diploma and/or college degree to include date of attendance, degree/ diploma detail and transcripts.
- Obtain employment history beginning with the present residence and working back seven (7) years or the time since the employee became eighteen (18) years of age, whichever is shorter.
- Obtain Military duty history to include selective service record, current military service obligations, and dates of service, rank, pay, character of service, job description and/or specialties, decorations and medals, performance, and reason for discharge.
- The verification shall cover misdemeanors and felonies or crimes of similar gravity with varying names or designations.
- The verification shall cover a minimum of ten (10) years or the time since the employee became eighteen (18) years of age, whichever is shorter.
- The ability to answer questions pertaining to the use of information technology systems.
- Information technology systems include all related computer hardware, software, firmware, and data used for the communication, transmission, processing, manipulation, storage, or protection of information.
