The Vendor is required to provide for professional human rights investigation services to supplement in-house staff when caseloads are excessive.
- The third-party investigation service is intended only to supplement the Office’s investigative capacity when caseloads are excessive.
- A provider can expect to handle between zeros to five investigations per calendar year.
- The Office can provide meeting space for investigative interviews in city.
- Language interpretation and translation services, including American Sign Language (ASL), can be provided for investigation related activities by the Office upon request.
- All work shall be performed by a thoroughly trained and highly experienced Investigator who is familiar with the requirements of this work.
- Consulting with Office staff regarding any questions pertaining to the complaint or nature of the investigation.
- Reviewing intake reports, complaints, and any evidence or supplementary documents related to cases being investigated.
- Conducting a comprehensive investigation of the presented complaint and issue using the appropriate theory of discrimination and model of proof.
- Receiving and responding to requests from the Director for additional information or clarification regarding the contents of the Investigative Report.
