The vendor required to provide site investigation consultant referred to hereinafter as the consultant, will be required to assemble a consultant team, which should include, but not be limited to the following disciplines:
• Team lead
• Site surveying
• Geotechnical engineering
• Environmental engineering
• Municipal engineering
• Transportation engineering
• Arborist services
- The consultant must assign an experienced engineer of record or certified professional to provide oversight, review and certification on all work in the schedule of services.
- The consultant must complete the entire schedule of services for the project.
- The bridging consultant and the province will provide direction with respect to services, studies and information gathered by the consultant.
- Any preliminary study, if the consultant identifies any potential issue such as a safety hazard, contamination, archeological sensitivity, or other risk to the project, the province may require contract amendment for additional investigative studies.
- All work outlined in the schedule of services must be in accordance with guidelines, procedures and standards set out for the type of service, regardless of whether they have been specified in this document.
- The consultant must provide a thorough and holistic view of the current site and surrounding areas.
- The consultant must inform the province where site conditions are such that a reduced or more robust program of investigation, testing and inspections is deemed appropriate to form an opinion as to the compliance of the work.
