Background Investigative Services including:
- Firefighter Investigation
Conduct a comprehensive background investigation modeled on the POST peace officer background investigation. This service covers the classifications assigned to it in the table above. The investigation includes:
• Review of the completed Personal History Statement (PHS), a personal interview with the applicant, and follow-up on any omissions and discrepancies.
• Employment verification for the preceding ten years, including contact with each employer and supervisor.
• Interviews of personal and professional references and of secondary references developed during the investigation.
• Neighborhood inquiry at the current residence.
• Criminal and civil court records in each county of residence and employment in the preceding ten years.
• DMV driving record.
• Military service verification.
• Education verification through official transcripts.
• Verification of licenses and certifications, including EMT certification and any paramedic license.
• Social media and internet search.
• A signed background investigation report with supporting documents.
- Limited Screening
Provide a fixed-price screening package for the classifications listed for limited screening in the table above. The package includes:
• Social Security number trace and address history.
• County criminal court records for the current county of residence and the most recent prior county of residence within the preceding seven years.
• National criminal database search, with court verification of any match.
• National sex offender registry check.
• DMV driving record.
• Verification of required licenses and certifications with the issuing agency (EMT certification, driver's license class, ambulance driver certificate).
• Review of proof of education supplied by the applicant.
• A written report of sources, dates, and findings.
