The Vendor is required to provide create archive quality microfilm from images provided by the Office.
- Provide to permanently retain certain public records, including certain certified tax roll documents.
- Provide duplicate silver and diazo microfilm and services related to the film’s creation. Where applicable, Contractor shall create film that meets or exceeds Institute standards for microfilm creation.
- Create archive quality microfilm from images provided by the Office. County will deliver images in Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) or Portable Document Format (PDF) using File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
- Reels: Processed film shall be on storage reels which are chemically inert, in compliance with ANSI IT9.2-1998; For Imaging Media — Photographic Processed Films, Plates, and Papers — Filing Enclosures and Storage Containers, are sturdy, and have dimensions which conform to Institute MS34-1990; Dimensions for Reels Used for 16 mm and 35 mm Microfilm.
- Enclosures: Film enclosures (containers) shall be inert black plastic.
- A minimum of 24 linear inches of exposed and processed blank film;
- Followed immediately by three exposures of clean, blank white paper or the density target;
- Followed immediately by a “Start” target;
- A target sheet including series title of the records filmed, ending identification (last record number, etc.);

- Followed by 24 inches of exposed and processed blank film.
