The Vendor is required to provide for the digitization of various types of video media.
- Additionally, the City seeks Cloud Storage for all digitized media to ensure gradual integration of this new media into the current storage system.
- The City will provide the vendor with boxes of tapes on a monthly basis.
- The process of converting the media tapes will extend over a period of two (2) years.
- The count of tapes is estimated to be 3,000, which includes various types, sizes, qualities, and ages. Vendors shall digitize tapes that are in poor physical condition.
- Digital media must be maintained at the native resolution of the tape and the original frame rate. If compression is applied, the cumulative bit rate for each video should not fall below 3mbps, unless the uncompressed format remains under the 3mbps limit.
- Digitized media file names should feature a recognizable English description of the content, which could be a show title or a short description. The naming should also include a unique identification number that is searchable for reference. This unique number must be clearly separated from any common English naming and should not be associated with any show title, episode number, or description included in other parts of the file name.
