The Vendor is required to provide core scanning services for include:- Scanning services
• Subcontract and manage a qualified drill core scanning service provider.
• Ensure the selected scanning service provider meets the technical specifications and requirements defined for the library scanning initiative:
• SWIR and MWIR;
• High-resolution RGB imaging; and
• Laser Profilometry or LIDAR.
• General element mapping to support lithological characterization, and alteration mapping;
• Light-element analysis to support exploration for lithium-bearing minerals
• Fluorescence mineral mapping to identify and map minerals with diagnostic fluorescence, particularly tungsten and REE-bearing minerals.
- Core selection and data management
• Review available drill core metadata, including but not limited to collar coordinates, drill hole orientation, drill hole size/diameter, depth intervals, and associated geological and geochemical datasets (e.g., assays) and assess data completeness, consistency, and quality relative to library data requirements;
• Identify and resolve gaps, discrepancies, or formatting issues within existing datasets in coordination with the survey or industry partners as needed; and
• Ensure metadata is compiled and standardized into a clean, structured dataset suitable for integration with core scanning outputs and library requirements.
- Core handling and logistics
• Trained personnel for core handling operations;
• Safely operate forklifts and move pallets within facilities or sites;
• Manage the movement, staging, and transport of drill core between storage, preparation, and scanning locations, including transport to and from an off-site facility if proposed by the successful proponent;
• Provide temporary indoor or outdoor storage as required for core not currently stored at the facility; and
• Support the coordination of logistics for core delivered from external sources, including industry partners, whether transported by contributing parties or by the successful proponent.
- Core preparation
• Clean and dry drill core prior to scanning as required by the qualified scanning service provider;
• Inspect core condition and packaging; and
• Manage the end-to-end flow of drill core, including intake, staging, preparation, scanning, and return to storage.
