The Vendor is required to provide social media for HIV prevention services.
- Through social media promotion and marketing strategies, contractor shall seek to eliminate HIV transmission in county by supporting and promoting social marketing/social media campaigns to reduce stigma and increase awareness about HIV, hepatitis c, and sexually transmitted Infections.
- Prevent HIV transmission in County by conducting social media activities with HIV-negative populations vulnerable to HIV infection and HIV-positive populations who have risk for transmission.
- Gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender persons; persons who inject drugs; and partners of HIV-positive persons or other individuals at high risk for infection.
- Alcohol and/or drug use during sexual activity during the past 12 months.
- Provide health literacy information to persons vulnerable to HIV infection and under-served populations to inform such persons of available HIV related direct services, providers, locations and hours of operation.
- All program staff shall participate in orientation about the requirements of this contract before providing any client services.
- Provide services with no interruption due to staffing changes and/or vacancies.
- A written job description for each employee shall be on file and signed by the staff and supervisor.
- Contractor shall follow appropriate laws and guidelines regarding hours of supervision provided, number of supervisees, availability of supervisor to provide supervision, and ongoing or continuing education regarding supervision
- Trauma-Informed Care:
• Understanding trauma, its impact on individuals, and how trauma might manifest in both clients and staff;
• Creating safety for clients and staff and how to identify and de-escalate encounters where the client might become dysregulated;
• Creating awareness of cultural, historical, disability, and gender issues, and ensuring competence and responsiveness;
• Communicating with clients in ways that promote their empowerment, control, choice, and independence; and
• Including clients and staff at all levels in the development and review of policies and procedures.
- Social Media Services:
• Promote HIV Prevention Services including Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) strategies. Collaborate with community-based organizations and local business and establish new collaborations with media outlets in each region/area of the county.
• Promote planning efforts for HIV services including, but not limited to, promotional materials to support participation in HIV planning activities.
• Distribute, track, and monitor HIV Prevention Service providers’ distribution of materials.
- Track and report website hits from regional websites, and followers and interactions including likes, comments and shares from social media venues.
- Utilize social networking sites and/or providers of sites that can reach populations vulnerable to HIV transmission or infection.
- Contractor shall develop a social media plan that includes, but is not limited to, defining clear social media goals, identifying the target audience, choosing social media and marketing platforms, creating engaging content, and implementing strategies for audience engagement and measurement.
