The Vendor is required to provide to implement an initiative aimed at encouraging and supporting youth to create content about covid-19 and other public health topics for social media and other digital mediums (e.g., vertical videos and other sharable content).
- Promoting content developed by youth (persons aged 13 - 18 years old) to engage and resonate with their peers will allow department to spread important prevention and response messages to a normally hard to reach audience. In addition, the initiative will promote awareness of the importance of laboratory, surveillance, and other public health work and career pathways.
- Services include:
• Design the structure and implementation processes of a youth engagement program, using data, best practices, and experience in social media outreach and youth participation.
• Collaborate with youth content creators recruited and recommended by existing department youth engagement programs.
• Develop training, materials, and prompts around communicating about public health topics, including current and ongoing high-profile health topics and themes.
• Develop a fair compensation model for youth creating content and make payments.
• Recommend a model for paid promotion of youth-created content and place paid promotion via department social media channels and other digital advertising.
• Recommend a plan to amplify youth-created content on department social media channels. Implement the plan in partnership with department personnel.
• Monitor and evaluate the program, make adjustments, and compile key metrics and information on an ongoing basis.
• Conduct a final evaluation of how the program performed by providing a report that tracks metrics, such as click through rates, reach, impressions, social media engagement, and other relevant measures.
• Propose other solutions or tasks to be performed by responder to deliver their program and enhance the initiative.
• Conduct or attend regular check-in meetings with department communications personnel.
• A written plan to amplify youth-created content on department social media channels. The plan is to be implemented in partnership with department personnel.
• Place paid promotion via department social media channels and other digital advertising.
• A comprehensive written final evaluation of how the program performed, citing tracked metrics.
