The Vendor is required to provide in-house, comprehensive social media management, monitoring, and listening services to support the commission’s communication needs across multiple platforms.
- Services will include strategic planning, content creation, social media management, social community engagement and management, suggestions for influencer partnerships, crisis support and reporting and analytics.
- Requirement:
1. Strategic planning
• Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals and platform best practices.
• Provide regular strategic counsel on channel best practices as they change and evolve over the length of the contract to ensure our approach keeps pace with trends.
• Conduct regular platform-by-platform assessments and make recommendations for improvements and new opportunities.
2. Content creation
• Produce engaging content, including graphics, videos, animations, and copywriting.
• Ensure all content is brand-aligned, accessible, and optimized for each platform.
• Craft messaging reflecting organizational priorities, tone, and audience needs.
• Frequency will be based on agreed upon strategy; respondents should assume creation of 90% of our overall content with up to 25 curated posts per month.
3. Social media management
• A social media strategy aligned with organizational objectives, priority audiences, and approved messaging
• Platform-specific recommendations and content mix (organic, influencer, and paid coordination, if applicable)
• Editorial planning and content calendaring
• Creation, adaptation, and scheduling of social media content across designated platforms
• Writing and editing of captions, headlines, and calls to action
• Coordination with translation and transcription efforts, as applicable
• Ensuring content adheres to brand, accessibility, and platform guidelines
• Recommendations for incorporating trends into social media postings
4. Paid advertising and campaigns
• Coordination of placement and management of paid social media campaigns, 8 annually.
• Optimize ad spend for reach, engagement, conversions, or other KPIs.
• Provide performance reporting and recommendations.
5. Community engagement and social listening
• Monitoring comments, messages, mentions, and tags across designated social media platforms
• Responding to comments and inquiries in a timely, professional, and brand-appropriate manner, in coordination with the client
• Escalating issues, complaints, misinformation, or sensitive inquiries in accordance with established protocols
• Supporting positive engagement and constructive dialogue with community members
• Identifying emerging issues, trends, and frequently asked questions
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and consistent responses
• Supporting accessibility, language needs, and inclusive engagement practices
• Assisting with moderation of comments in accordance with platform policies and client guidelines
• Track mentions of the commission across social media platforms, including instances where the commission is not directly tagged
• Analyze public sentiment, including positive, negative, and neutral feedback
6. Social media influencer program
• Influencer strategy development aligned with campaign objectives and target audiences
• Identification, vetting, and recommendation of appropriate influencers (e.g., micro, mid-tier, or community-based influencers)
• Outreach, coordination, and relationship management with selected influencers
• Development of influencer briefs, content guidelines, and key messages
• Oversight of content creation to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, accessibility, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and platform requirements
• Coordination of posting schedules and amplification strategies across platforms
• Monitoring of influencer content and audience engagement
• Performance measurement, reporting, and optimization recommendations
• Management of influencer compensation, contracts, and disclosures, as applicable.
