The Vendor is required to provide tribal education technical assistance centers to work in partnership with tribal governments, local education agencies, schools, early childhood programs, state agencies and more to improve Indian education and Native American student success from early childhood through higher education.
- Provide for Indian education improvements from early childhood to higher education.
- The development of culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate curriculum and instructional materials;
- Career pathways for Native American educators;
- Professional development opportunities for licensed school employees and school administrators in culturally and linguistically relevant pedagogy;
- Education policy developments and capacity building for tribal communities;
- Collaboration with state education agencies on tribal-related programs to assist agencies with outreach in coordination with indigenous educators, scholars and professionals to tribal programs and participate in funding applications to support the tribal education technical assistance centers and other statewide indigenous education efforts;
- Collaboration with institutions the serve native American students, including school districts, charter schools, bureau of Indian education schools, tribally-controlled schools, early childhood centers, and public and tribal higher education institutions; and
- Additional responsibilities or duties related to Native American education or vocational support determined by consultation among various stakeholders.
