The Vendor is required to provide to deliver interactive, research based professional development focused on supporting grade PK-12 teachers and district personnel which includes but is not limited to face-to-face, online (webinars), conferences, training-of-trainers, consultation, and on the job coaching and observation.
- Academic and Specials Content/ Curriculum and Instruction
• Professional development content should focus on developing teachers into lifelong learners that seek feedback and growth opportunities to develop, lead, and collaborate. It should support in the continual development of content and pedagogy knowledge necessary for teaching diverse learners.
• Professional development content should focus on developing teachers into literacy developers who can design and facilitate learning experiences that develop the necessary skills for fluent reading, writing, speaking, and communicating across the content areas.
• Professional development content should focus on developing teachers into mathematical developers who can design and facilitate learning experiences that develop the necessary skills for fluency, numeracy, computational thinking and problem solving.
• Professional development content should focus on developing teachers into science developers who can design and facilitate learning experiences that develop the necessary skills for inquiry, investigation and justification.
• Professional development content should focus on developing teachers into social studies developers who can design and facilitate learning experiences that develop the necessary skills for communication, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking.
• Professional development content should focus on developing teachers as deeper learning cultivators who design learning experiences that develop academic mindsets and foster critical thinking, innovation, and collaboration.
- Dyslexia interventions, Reading Interventions, Math Interventions, Multi-Content,
• Professional Development should support the teachers with learning and using efficient instructional strategies for reading and math development.
• Professional Development should help the teachers develop skills in matching instruction to assessment.
• Professional Development should support the teachers with learning and using strategies for providing intervention and ongoing progress monitoring to students with dyslexia and related disorders.
• Professional Development should support the teachers with learning and using strategies to meet the instructional and social-emotional needs of at-risk learners.
- Provide effective language instruction educational programs to increase English proficiency and student academic achievement of English learners; and
- Professional development should support Special Education staff in one or more of the following areas:
• Speech Pathology (Language, Articulation, Voice and Fluency)
