The Vendor is required to provide to establish a relationship with a qualified Staffing firm to provide temporary administrative/clerical, service/maintenance, custodial, information technology (IT) support services for departments on an as needed basis.
- Provide to fulfill the university’s permanent full-time positions on a temp-to-hire basis at a reduced rate that is beneficial to the university.
- Require the use of a temporary agency to fulfill short-term needs for departmental assignments in administrative, clerical, IT and accounting
- The Staffing Firm shall administer all necessary pre-qualifying tests to determine that each employee meets the requirements of each job.
- These tests may include, as appropriate, physical examinations, criminal background checks, credit ratings, and verification of licenses and certifications.
- Staffing Firm will perform background checks on all temporary employees prior to the start of an assignment.
- Staffing firm agrees to assume full responsibility for paying, withholding, and transmitting payroll taxes; making unemployment contributions; and handling unemployment and workers’ compensation claims involving its employees.
- Temporary employees are not employees of university and shall not be entitled to holidays, vacations, disability, insurance, pensions or retirement plans, or any other benefits offered or provided by the university to its employees.
- Staffing firm will, upon the university’s request, require that all staffing firm employees assigned to the university sign the following required forms prepared by the university as they may be revised by the university from time-to-time:
• An agreement/acknowledgment regarding non-employment and no benefits;
• A confidentiality agreement;
• An assignment of intellectual property rights; and
• Access agreement/acknowledgement for use of the university’s information technology equipment and systems (e.g., hardware, software and data); and
• Any other forms required by the university in its sole and exclusive discretion (collectively, the “university required Forms”).
- The Staffing Firm shall provide workers’ compensation insurance coverage for assigned employees.
- Staffing Firm should submit a current copy of their official certification(s) to verify their minority business status.
- The University reserves the right to interview and select candidates(s) best suited for a position.
- Contract Period/Term: 3 years
