- Other commencement-related staffing need
• Provide outstanding service by promptly responding to current students, staff and faculty inquiries through telephone, and email.
• Guide current students, staff, and faculty through their decision-making process by engaging in a consultative dialogue at in-person and virtual events (e.g., commencement fairs).
• Present information in a professional, articulate, and confident manner.
• Serve as students’ liaison to help students through various student services-related issues (e.g., graduation application status, commencement registration, etc.) that impact commencement participation.
• Reach out to other units (e.g., graduation services) as required and get back to students in a timely manner.
• Consistently demonstrate high quality customer service. Set and complete daily tasks to ensure students receive follow-up that meets service-level agreements.
• Maintain and provide accurate information on a wide range of subjects, such as commencement eligibility, registration procedures, the graduation process, ticketing, regalia and traditions, and important deadlines.
• Accurately document, maintain, and track all commencement-related student interactions in the CRM system.
• Evening and weekend hours, along with infrequent local travel, may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Requests for temporary staff
• Staffing will include the position title, description, required education and experience, confidential information to which personnel would have access, start date, approximate end date, work hours, and location of assignment.
• The contractor shall provide candidate name(s) and resumes.
• Candidates shall possess the required minimum qualifications as outlined in the request.
• University reserves the right to interview the candidates by phone or in person, at its sole discretion.
• University may request further candidates, if necessary.
- Background and reference checks
• The following mandatory background checks on all candidates (both event and temporary staff) unless otherwise noted.
• Background checks shall include, but may not be limited to, social security number verification, criminal background check, date of birth verification, employment verification, and education verification.
• The contractor shall be financially responsible for the background checks; there will be no billing or charge to university for contractor fees associated with background checks.
• The contractor’s technical proposal shall outline the background check process, the types of checks available, the length of time needed to complete the process, and how long the background check is valid.
