Nursing Services

The Vendor is required to provide nursing services or include:
•    Acts as a proactive liaison between children, families and health care resources to access and coordinated care. 
•    Administer first aid, medication, specialized medical treatment and health screenings. 
•    Maintain all health records and reporting procedures to external agencies to ensure compliance with established regulations. 
•    Assess situations involving students’ safety. 
•    Implement health care plans for students with chronic health conditions and or 504 accommodation requirements. 
•    Keep accurate records on all health office visits 
•    Consult with the director of nursing, regarding any concerns relating to student’s health needs. 
•    Attend meetings at the school as scheduled when it pertains to a student with medical conditions, IEP’s and or 504. 
•    Provide for communication with parents as designated. 
•    Complete monthly report as provided by health administrator. 
•    Cover another school for emergencies and medication distribution if burse is out. 
•    Promote a healthy environment 
•    Providence public school students k-12 grades 
•    Services will be provided in various elementary, middle, and high schools in providence.
