1. Provide porter service during an event including but not limit to:
• Removing and disposing trash
• Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies of restrooms
• Maintain cleanliness of team locker rooms
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including entrances, concourses, and fan seating areas
- Provide cleaning service to prepare for an event and immediately after end of event including but not limited to:
• Hand pick all trash, recycling, and compost in fan seating areas
• Remove all trash, recycling, and compost and dispose in compactors. Reline all receptacles
• Sweep and mop restroom floors with disinfectant
• Clean and restock all restrooms
• Clean and restock locker rooms
• Sweep, vacuum, or mop concourses, entrances, and other spaces used for the event
• Sweep or mop competition surfaces
• Spot damp mop floors
• Wipe clean all counters. and mirrors
• Scour and disinfect all sinks, toilets, and urinals inside and outside.
• Polish all bright work and stainless steel
• Wipe walls and partitions with disinfectant
• Clean windows
• Elevated cleaning – carpets, dusting, tile & grout cleaning, etc.
• Other building & specialty services – pressure washing, snow & ice removal, storm cleanup, project-based cleaning
- General Labor and Maintenance
• Job Description
o Provide staffing to support the following:
o Equipment setup and teardown – tables, chairs, athletic equipment, flooring for Commencement, etc.
o Moving furniture and changing lightbulbs
o Landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal
o Pressure washing and minor custodial service
o Miscellaneous facility maintenance
• Performance Expectations
o Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
o Follow directions and assist agency staff with assigned tasks
o Provide on-site supervision when crews are larger than (5) staff or as requested
• Job Requirements
o Ability to work and stand on feet for upwards of eight hours
o Ability to climb and work from ladders
o Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
o Ability to move furniture, boxes, equipment, etc.
o Ability to use grounds and custodial equipment
o Ability to act professionally, follow directions, and work with others
• Dress Code Requirements
o Individuals must be well dressed and maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times
o Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or clothing with advertising or obscene writing are strictly prohibited
o Clothing representing other universities is strictly prohibited
o For safety purposes, sandals, open toe shoes, and shorts are not acceptable
- Account Management
o Must have one individual and a backup assigned to the university account. This person will be the first point of contact and will coordinate all the personnel activities, as necessary.
o Must also have a 24-hour, seven day a week on-call phone number, not an answering service or answering machine that university personnel can call and receive a return phone call within 1 hour from a person who can make immediate managerial decisions. This phone number will be used for emergency situations only.
o Must be able to provide supplemental services such as preplanning of personnel needs on a university wide basis for peak periods or on special projects.
