The Vendor is required to provide temporary staffing services at various locations throughout the school district.
- Provide qualified personnel for both contract staffing (temp-to-hire) and substitute staffing, ensuring adequate coverage to maintain uninterrupted meal service operations.
- Staffing & Performance Expectations:
• Provide substitute staff within 2 hours of the request.
• Provide contract (temp-to-hire) staff within 10 business days of the request.
• Provide staff capable of working shifts that range between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM,
• Monday – Friday, and additional hours as needed.
• Maintain on-call availability by 7:00 AM on school days.
• Provide after-hours emergency contact support.
- Recruitment, Screening, and Onboarding:
• Maintain an application and screening process that includes:
o Skill assessment and evaluation
o Reference checks
o Background checks (see below)
• Ensure all candidates are appropriately matched to the job requirements
• Manage all onboarding processes for temporary employees
• Provide and require completion of an orientation prior to assignment, including policies and procedures, USDA Civil Rights, mandatory child abuse training, free/reduced non-disclosure, food safety, and meal patterns.
• All onboarding shall be provided at no additional cost to agency.
- Employment Administration
• Administer payroll and maintain employment records
• Manage all costs associated with payroll taxes, social security, unemployment claims, and workers’ compensation
• Coordinate directly with agency School Nutrition staff for:
o Scheduling
o Staffing requests
o Billing
