The Vendor is required to provide as needed food service personnel for school nutrition operations.
- Provide to supply temporary and/or permanent staff to fill vacancies due to employee absences, leave, and/or long-term and short-term operational needs.
- Provide qualified food service employees on an as-needed basis to support district nutrition services operations.
- Temporary personnel may be assigned to any of the six (6) school nutrition kitchen locations within the district.
- Assignments may include:
• One-day coverage
• Short-term assignments
• Long-term and/or permanent assignments
• Multi-day assignments
• Rotating assignments across multiple school locations
- Work assignments will be scheduled based on district operational needs.
- Work Schedule
• Minimum shift: 4 hours per day
• Maximum shift: 8 hours per day
- Assignments may be requested:
• In advance
• On short notice
• The morning of the needed shift
- The markup percentage must include all vendor costs including but not limited to:
• Payroll taxes
• Workers compensation
• Unemployment insurance
• Employee benefits (if applicable)
• Administrative costs
• Recruiting and onboarding costs
• Agency profit
- Employee Status
• Payroll processing
• Employee tax withholding
• Workers compensation coverage
• Employment eligibility verification
• Compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Food preparation
• Cooking
• Serving meals
• Cleaning and sanitation
• Dishwashing
• Operating kitchen equipment
• Stocking food and supplies
• Assisting with meal service.
