The Vendor is required to provide will perform timely and accurate performance of routine on-site and complaint inspections, identify noncompliant laboratories, and compile and communicate survey findings, remedies, and recommendations.
- Services shall be provided within various laboratory settings throughout state and beyond during site reviews and inspections.
- The services shall be provided during working hours between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday for full-timers, excluding State observed holidays. Work shall be performed outside regular service hours only with pre-arranged authorization from the State.
- Graduation from college with a major in an appropriate scientific field, possession of a clinical laboratory scientist’s license issued by the Department.
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and policies in order to comply with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinates inspection schedules and provides subject matter expertise on laboratory regulations.
- Communicates findings during exit interviews and prepares official deficiency reports and corrective action reviews.
- Provides technical assistance and responds to inquiries from laboratories, the public, and other stakeholders.
- Participates in legal proceedings related to laboratory sanctions and prepares documentation for enforcement actions.
- Attends mandatory training, prepares reports, and updates work procedures as needed.
- Performs quality assurance and quality control activities, prepares and uploads reports for dissemination of data and test results.
- Verifies specimen adequacy, performs complex analyses, and validates test results through correlation with test parameters.
