The Vendor is required to provide for on-call, as needed, temporary staffing services to perform work in support of country programs, projects, and services.
- Pre-employment checks
• Verify legal right to work in the country in accordance with the immigration reform and control act of 1986.
• Conduct a criminal background check in accordance with counsel requirements.
• Verify DMV driving record is valid and does not exceed a maximum of 6 points in the most recent 36-month period.
• Conduct a pre-employment drug screening.
• Individuals testing positive for the below listed drugs are not eligible for assignment:
o Marijuana
o Cocaine
o Opiates (codeine, morphine, heroin)
o Phencyclidine (PCP)
o Amphetamines
o Semi-synthetic opioids.
- Placing the temporary employee
1. Hours of work
• Usual general office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, while our transit center and customer service center operates Mon-Fri 7am – 7pm, and sat-sun 8am – 5pm.
• The majority of temporary positions will fit in one of these two ranges, however, at any time temporary positions may work off hours and weekends/holidays if needed operationally.
2. Temporary employee duties
• Temporary employee will be expected to report to the agency supervisor overseeing their assignment at the requested date and time.
• Temporary employees will be provided with a minimum 30- minute period for lunch and rest breaks as required by law.
