The Vendor is required to provide child care assistance services for the state.
- Child focused by encouraging continuity of care with the child care provider by requiring authorizations for child care services to fit the need of the family based on a comparison of parental and child schedules;
- Family friendly by allowing for an annual application for participation and streamlined application process, ensuring authorizations for child care are issued timely and accurately; and
- Fair to providers by ensuring applications from individuals interested in becoming a agency participating child care provider are processed timely and accurately and payment requests from child care providers are processed timely and accurately.
- Outreach activities are to be conducted using a method most appropriate for the community to include but not limited to: in person, telephonic, webinar, and or conferences.
- Family Eligibility Services - grantee is responsible for obtaining complete new and renewal applications and reports of change; verifying and evaluating the information; determining and monitoring family eligibility; authorizing the eligible level of care; sending appropriate notices of determination to the family; and documenting actions taken.
- Child Care Authorizations - grantee is responsible for issuing and sending child care authorizations for eligible families approved for participation.
- The manual must also include an internal process for resolving client complaints and provisions for removal from any involvement of this program of grantee staff who have been determined to have violated program rules either to receive benefits they are not entitled to or provide benefits for a family or provider who is not entitled.
