Supplementary Staffing Support Services

The Vendor is required to provide staffing and workforce solution providers to establish a term contract through competitive negotiation to support area public transportation operations via comprehensive recruitment, hiring, and workforce management services.
- Temporary, Temporary (temp)-to-hire, and direct placement staffing services for positions including, but not limited to:
• Transit technicians (diesel heavy duty transit bus) (preventive maintenance; electrical and mechanical repair; systems diagnostics)
• Transit inventory specialist (transit bus parts department)
• Maintenance workers (facilities and vehicle maintenance support)
• Bus operators and drivers (cdl with passenger endorsement - required)
• Administrative and clerical staff
- Temporary and temp-to-hire staffing:
• Administrator will contact the contractor(s), providing as much notice as possible, to request temporary personnel placement.
- Temporary staffing
• Temporary personnel assignments may range from one (1) day to several months.
• Temporary employees provided shall be employed by the contractor(s), not the city.
• The sole responsibility for payroll, taxes, workers' compensation, insurance, payroll reports, and complying with all federal, state, and local requirements for temporary personnel.
- Temp-to-hire staffing
• The right to actively recruit temporary candidates placed by the contractor(s) if the possibility of an eventual hire is explicitly identified in the original request.
• Identification of a temp-to-hire position shall not guarantee that an opportunity for hiring by area will be offered, nor does it guarantee that a given temporary candidate will be hired for said position.
• Temporary candidates will have to follow the same hiring process as all other independent candidates.
• Hiring of a temporary candidate will be considered as such if said candidate is hired while performing temporary work for area or within two months of the completion of their most recent placement with area.
