The vendor is required to provide for the common use passenger processing system and airport operations database option so that accurate pricing can be established.
- Hardware requirements
• All replacement hardware requirements given are the minimal acceptable requirements for the system.
o Equipment that is to be located in server rooms shall be rack mounted in standard racks and cabinets as appropriate for neat and workman like installation.
• Common use passenger processing system (CUPPS) servers shall have a minimum hardware configuration to support the equipment required to run the common use system.
• CUPPS workstations will consist of standard pcs capable of hosting all the required platform and application software, together with their associated peripherals.
• Boarding pass printers:
o Boarding pass printers should support both airline-specific and generic paper stock.
o The printer should also have had at least six (6) months of operational experience with a customer.
• Bag-tag printers:
o Bag tag printers need to produce high quality, high contrast baggage tags.
o The replacement printers must support RFID.
o The printer model to be supplied should also have had at least six (6) months of operational experience with a supplier’s customer.
• Document printers with laser printers:
o Document printers should have had at least six (6) months of operational experience with a supplier’s customer.
• Boarding gate reader (BGR):
o boarding gate readers need to support the handling of bar-coded boarding passes (BCBP) coupons.
• Bar code scanner (LSR):
o The scanner should have had at least six (6) months of operational experience with a supplier’s customer.
• Magnetic strip reader (MSR) / passport and OCR reader:
o These readers may be used for reading frequent flyer cards and credit cards.
o The magnetic strip reader should have had at least six (6) months of operational experience with a supplier’s customer.
• Routers airline connectivity:
o Replacement cisco 1900 series
o Model 1921 – 9 units
o Mode; 1
• Switches work station connectivity:
o Model 2960 x series 24 port – 10 units
o Model 2960 x series 48 port – 2 units.
o Model 3850 12 port – 2 units
o Model 3850 24 24 port – 2 units
• KVM:
o Replacement KVM
o Emerson Avocent av3108 – 2 units
• Data storage:
o Replace with adequate capacity for new system (related to servers).
• Firewall:
o Replace with cisco ASA 5506 – 1 unit.
• Fids / bids / gids:
o 89 units. plus 3 for second floor departure.
o 71 x 46 “screens and 21 x 55” screens
• Kiosks:
o Replace 20 units.
• Pre-security screening gates
o Requirement to have 3 pre-security gates before CUPPS security stations
• Airport operation data base (AODB) hardware required
- Software requirements
a. Workstation operating system
• CUPPS workstations must use windows 11 professional, service pack 1 or greater, configured with english as the default language.
b. Platform server operating system
• Platform servers may utilize any operating system deemed appropriate such that the server provides the following functionality equivalent to that provided by microsoft windows-based servers and such that the implementation is transparent to end-user software:
o Shared network and shared printers that provide suitable access control mechanisms.
o End-user authentication infrastructure that at least meets the terms specified in the IATA CUPPS technical specification.
o Preferred operating system is microsoft server 2022 or later.
c. Hardware abstraction layer (HAL)
• The CUPPS platform shall provide a hardware abstraction layer for all CUPPS managed hardware devices, including the necessary servers, workstations, devices, etc., such that a change in the hardware manufacturer, hardware, firmware, or similar embedded functionality, operating system drivers, etc., is transparent to the applications that may make use of the hardware.
d. Airport operations data-base software license
• Modular software license for the AODB
- Systems requirements
• The system shall adhere to a client and server model.
• The system shall support required peripherals
• CUPPS workstations shall be mutually independent of each other.
• CUPPS workstations shall be able to send data to a peripheral device which is physically connected to another workstation.
