The Vendor is required to provide to obtain a truck parking counter and information management system and establish a contract from the lowest, responsive.
- The current truck parking system utilizes in-pavement magnetometers, multiple pucks are installed at the entrance ramp to the truck parking lot, in addition to multiple pucks installed at the exit ramp.
- The “pucks” detect a change in the magnetic field around them when vehicles drive over them.
- system must have the capability to count vehicles in and out of the parking/rest area, including the ability to add or subtract from the known number of trucks in the lot.
- system must interact directly with the “pucks” at each site, deriving the count of vehicles in and out, with the capability to send the calculated number of available stalls to department, via the truck parking information management system (TPIMS) specified data feed.
- The data feed will then be disseminated to roadside signage and third-party truck parking websites/apps.
- The system includes but is not limited to; closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, in-pavement magnetometers, software development, servers and communications infrastructure.
- The system generates a data feed which is available to the department statewide advanced traffic management system (ATMS) software.
