The Vendor is required to provide for remote managed services to support, monitor and maintain our PeopleSoft Financials and Campus Solutions applications systems and additional ad-hoc functional and development support services.
- This maintenance will require system downtime and must be performed outside of the college business hours (M-F 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM).
- In addition, the selected vendor needs to be available for support services in the event of a system failure that affects college operations and serve as a technical escalation point for more complex issues.
- Two-hour response time during business hours. Four-hours Monday – Friday after business hours. Twenty-four hours on Weekends.
- The service is a supplement to the current agency PeopleSoft Staff of a functional analyst, a systems analyst, and one developer.
- Past practice has relied on functional/development support on projects requiring 2 – 40 hours several times a year.
- We are a hands-on operation and seek a vendor that we can partner with for functional/development support so our staff can learn & collaborate with the vendor’s resource.
- Services include:
• Maintain both application and server patches and maintenance packs.
• FOR campus solutions, quarterly PUM releases are required in support of the financial aid module.
• For financials, semi-annual PUM releases and appropriate patches as needed.
• Maintenance of web, batch, database and application servers including updates of SSL certificates and maintenance updates.
• The selected vendor must have system engineers who have Microsoft systems expertise.
• Troubleshooting operation system issues requires a collaborative effort between the college resources and the selected vendor.
• Patch and update demo, dev, test and sandbox environments.
• All environments should be kept consistent, clean and documented.
• Troubleshoot county related code.
• Maintain county compiler.
• Use monitoring tools to observe, troubleshoot and tune the pia environment.
• Proactively maintain application and system security.
• Audit oracle support for critical patch updates and notify college when critical maintenance is required.
• PeopleSoft application monitoring on a monthly basis, review app server log files, tuxedo log files, web server log files.
• Report findings to agency application support staff.
• SQL server database monitoring on a bi-monthly basis
• Financials – verify the backups, log files – parse for errors
• Campus – verify backups, log files – parse for errors.
• SQL server - dba support of application databases as needed: performance analysis, re-indexing, and database maintenance.
• Advise the college on best practices to maintain and update the application and related components.
• Perform non-production database refreshes upon request.
• Maintain scripts and verify all refreshes point to correct non-production services.
• Perform production database freezes upon request up to three (3) times a year
• Maintain setup and configuration of integration broker.
• “Bucket of hours” for dedicated PS financials functional support of up to 15 hours/month or 180 hours/contract year.
• This person would assist the agency business office with the following tasks:
• Accounts payable, general ledger, commitment control and purchasing module support
• PUM testing for financials
• Nvision training, configuration, and report writing.
